He is a leading development expert in Africa, and the Country Representative of The Population Council in Nigeria. He was a Senior Program Officer with the Ford Foundation (Office for West Africa) for twelve years, during which he was actively involved in providing core funding and technical support for governmental and non-governmental organizations working on reproductive health, gender equity, environmental sustainability, and youth development in West Africa. He also played major roles in the development of various higher education projects in the sub-region. Dr. Ahonsi previously taught various courses in sociology and demography in the Universities of Ilorin, Calabar and Lagos, and has extensively published several scholarly journals and books. He has held various fellowships in several leading institutions in Africa, Europe and America. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with first class honors from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and a Ph.D in Population Studies from the London School of Economics, where he was a Commonwealth scholar.
She is a scholar of English and African Studies, and a literary editor. She was a co-Director of the African Cultural Institute, and Founding Editor of Herstory. She served for one year as Project Director of Courage Education Foundation, Lagos. Anthonia is currently a Senior Lecturer at the National Open University of Nigeria, Lagos.
He’s a leading biographer, corporate historian, scholarly editor and publisher. He pioneered and directed the affairs the African Cultural Institute for over a decade, facilitating major national and international publications, conferences and consultancy projects. He also had a university career that spanned over fifteen years of research, teaching, publishing, and management responsibilities at the Olabisi Onabanjo University and the University of Lagos, from where he also took his degrees in English. He currently directs the business of May University Press Limited as Chief Executive.
